A very quick. simple way to hide from mobs of all sorts: ten scaffoldings.
Place three scaffoldings vertically, then one across as a roof. Fill in the rest of the walls around the roof with two scaffoldings each. Stand in the middle and now you are safe from all sorts of mobs, hostile and passive. You can even see out, to check if it's safe to move on.
Enderrmen? Can's see you.
Phantoms? They will want to get you, but can't.
